Pet portrait - Axelby ~elektroyu

This is my first portrait in acrylics. I love my watercolors, but acrylics fit my working style better.

I wanted to do a real painting of Axel for some time now and I'm happy it's finished now! :D :heart:

Thank you, I'm happy you like it! And welllllll, I'm already working for ages on a full body painting of Raksha. :XD: Although it's more matter-of-factly and not so dreamy. I'm not too far away from finishing, but it still needs some work. I was going to note you again once it's finished, but you can see the stages so far in my Tumblr: [link]

Oh. My. God. This is incredible! The preliminary sketches already are wonderful pictures! Will you let me show off the picture at Raksha's web page once it's finished? Oh I wish I could paint like you... It must have taken a lot of time already. I remember painting a pencil image of a horse photo, and it took me a whole day and the result was nowhere as good as yours. That was when I realized I don't have enough determination to become an artist:D

Oh yes, actually this portrait is giving me a little more trouble than others do, so it takes some extra time. Up until now it took at least 16 hours, most likely a bit more. But as long as the result is good, I don't mind the time it takes. But I'm still looking forward to have it finished soon. :XD:
